Clarissa Stevens
Hi, I’m Clarissa and I am a Seattle based horse trainer who specializes in young horses and providing groundwork, exposure and field trips in order to create the safest trail, competition or pleasure horse for you. I started CS Young Horse Training after many years of being a professional sporthorse groom and working with all breeds, ages and temperaments.
I start a very select few horses under saddle and typically only ride full training horses. My focus is on handler safety and training a horse to handle “the human world.”
Additionally, I partner with an excellent Friesian and Friesian Sporthorse breeder who supply the majority of our sales horses. In the future we may expand to breeding and selling Fjords alongside amateur friendly Friesians.
Lastly, I recently went though the process of obtaining a Class A CDL, getting commercial insurance and becoming licensed and DOT compliant in order to haul horses commercially. This is something I enjoy doing to add variety to my schedule.
